A minute to read and ponder...

While researching and reading through the variety of materials from the net, I came upon this story of Abraham ( http://www.angelfire.com/az/sthurston/abraham_cherrix.html) of his and his family's fight for the right to reject modern medicine in treatment of cancer. I do hope you take some time to read through his story.

Abraham was diagnosed with Hodgkin's disease and after an initial chemotherapy treatment, he refused further treatment with it. When his parents supported his decision, they were accused of neglect and were taken to court. Although a ruling by a lower court decided against the parents, they won on appeal. (Yay!)

An update of his story is included in Wikipedia, http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Virginia_v._Cherrix. He is apparently still battling his illness, his way. Let's share some good positive thoughts of support to him and his parents for doing what they believed in. I think they have shown great courage and strength for us to emulate and gain inspiration from. I wonder, what would I have done in his shoes? What would you have done? ...
